TECHNOLOGY

The application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the rural sector has been relatively slow owing to poor ICT infrastructure, lack of awareness and local language issues. ICT has huge scope for innovation and application. It also has immense application across thematic areas from healthcare, education, climate, weather and emergency response activities to supporting livelihoods. IFPNP  Fellow Satya have used ICT as a means to combat rural poverty and foster sustainable development through creating empowered societies and supporting livelihoods.
